Our workshop curriculum, Food Smarts, and Eatfresh.org are now on the Approved Curriculum list for SNAP-Ed in California. This means that any organizations running classes under this funding stream can use our innovative curriculum to inspire more people to make healthy changes in their lives. Please email us if you’d like more information about how to integrate Food Smarts or EatFresh.org into your program.
We feasted, played the drums, and “guessed that spice” with over 100 community members at our San Diego event celebrating the completion of Around the World at the Farmer's Market: Recipes from San Diego’s African and Middle Eastern Community Cooks. Thanks to the community cooks and our friends at UCSD Center for Community Health, United Women of East Africa Support Team, and International Rescue Committee in San Diego! We got some press too! All of the recipes can be found here on EatFresh.org.
Berbere & Brews was our San Francisco celebration of Around the World at the Farmer’s Market. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to raise awareness of our work at Leah’s Pantry; we shared delicious food from the cookbook along with beer pairings with old and new friends.
